Better Collective acquires Sweden's Rekatochklart.com for €3.8m

Partner group Better Collective has announced the acquisition of Swedish online sports betting platform Rekatochklart.com for €3.8m (£3.2m / $4.5m).

Better Collective has completed the acquisition as an asset purchase from Win & Fun Media and will consolidate the acquired asset in its group accounts, with the platform to be managed through its Swedish unit.

Jens Karlsson and Ulrik Sandebek, former owners of the Rekatochklart.com platform, will continue to hold advisory positions in the Better Collective Sweden division.

Rekatochlart.com, founded in 2008, serves as an online community where sports betting and prediction players can share betting tips and analysis on sports events.

Rekatochlart.com generated revenues of €1.2 million in 2020 and profits before interest, tax and amortisation of €900,000.

"Rekatochklart.com with its strong brand and advisory community is a great addition to our business and a strategically important step for us in strengthening our position in Sweden," said Better Collective co-founder and CEO Jesper Sogaard.
